New vendors only have the option of managing the Classic cups via the cash deposit/return system.

The Again Again classic cups were first in the market, and are well established in the cash deposit/refund model. But this cash/deposit model results in only a moderate return rate. As such, using alternative cups on the technology platform will result in both better sustainability outcomes and more economical operating costs.

That said, having a deposit model as a backup is important, as it allows coffee shops to get rid of single-use cups entirely. If a customer has not downloaded the app, they can still get coffee in a low-cost-to-access cup. If your cafe is committed to going 100% single-use cup free, the $90 monthly subscription fee will be appropriate. In all other cases we strongly suggest that you look at the platform options.

Pay-as-you-go allows you to access the cups with no ongoing commitment, and at realistic costs when cups don’t returns.
